Our private dining room seats a minimum of 12 people and a maximum of 20 people.
Minimums & Seatings

Minimums are based on the food and beverage purchase totals. Minimums do not include tax and gratuity. Tax is currently 8.5%, SF health ordinance charge of 3%; a 20% gratuity is added. "Room charges" apply only when the minimum is not reached, making up the difference.
Lunch — We offer the following seatings and respective minimums:
* 11:00 or 11:30 or 12:00 start time with 2:30 pm exit — $1000 food & beverage minimum
* 12:30 start time with a firm 4:00pm exit — $1200 food & beverage minimum
* 1:00 or 1:30 start time with a firm 4:00 pm exit — $1000 food & beverage minimum
(1:30pm is the latest possible lunch seating)
Dinner — We offer the following seatings and respective minimums:
* 5:30 pm start time with a firm 8:00 pm exit — $1500 food & beverage minimum
* 6:00 pm start time with a firm 8:30 pm exit — $1500 food & beverage minimum
* 6:30 or 7:00 or 7:30pm start time with no set exit time — $2500 food & beverage minimum
* 8:15 pm start time with no set exit time — $2000 food & beverage minimum
* 8:45 pm start time with no set exit time — $1500 food & beverage minimum

We offer family-style dining. Parties design their own custom menu to suit their event by selecting items from our full menus online at this website.

To secure a reservation for a party in the private dining room, a credit card number must be submitted once we respond to your request. There are no guaranteed reservations without a confirmation from The Slanted Door.
Cocktail Receptions
We offer the lounge to be reserved for standing cocktail receptions (with heavy appetizers) every evening. The lounge is not a private space but offers a perfect atmosphere for larger parties who want a bit of separation from the main dining room.
Capacity

The minimum party size required to reserve the lounge is 30 guests. The lounge can hold no more than 50 people. Unfortunately, we are unable to reserve the lounge for groups smaller than 30.
Timing
—
The lounge may be reserved starting at 4:00 pm, for three-hour periods. Food is served during the first 2 hours. After the 3rd hour, the host must settle the bill, however their guests are more than welcome to stay and enjoy no-host service.
Menu

We work with a unique menu created by the chef exclusively for cocktail receptions with many specialty items not normally offered on our regular menus. The minimum lounge menu required for a reservation starts at $45 per person with 7 different dishes of your choosing.
Beverage Minimum

For all lounge reservations we require a 2-drink minimum per person, based loosely on the price of a house cocktail (currently $11).
Service Charge
—
Lounge parties require extra service staff and kitchen staff. In addition to a 20% gratuity, we require a service charge of $250 or $400 to ensure a smooth and seamless event. The service charge amount will depend on the guaranteed number of guests expected and the groups’ particular needs.
Full, Sit-down Dinners & Lunches
We also offer the lounge for semi-private, full, sit-down dinners and lunches for large parties. The lounge is not a private space but offers a perfect atmosphere for larger parties who want a bit of separation from the main dining room.

We can accommodate parties of 30-40 people at one or two banquet tables in the lounge.

We offer seatings starting at 5:30 pm every evening for dinner.
We offer seatings starting at 11:00 on Monday-Saturday or 11:30 am on Sundays for lunch.

To secure a reservation for the patio, a credit card number must be submitted once we respond to your request. There are no guaranteed reservations without a confirmation from The Slanted Door. Please be aware: reservations for the Patio are made during warm weather months only.
We do not take a deposit, however, if you wish to cancel your reservation we request a notice at least 7 days prior to the reservation date. The credit card given to reserve the space is subject to a charge of 25% of the food and beverage minimum or estimated total cost if a cancellation is made within 7 days of the reservation date.
